How do I book a charter?

You can book directly through our website on the Bookings page, or call us to reserve your spot. A deposit is required to hold your date.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance, especially for summer weekends. Popular dates fill up fast, so the earlier the better.

Question 3

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Cancellations made more than 7 days before your trip receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days may be rescheduled based on availability. No-shows forfeit the deposit.

Question 4

Do you offer military or first responder discounts?

Yes — we offer 10% off for active military, veterans, and first responders. Please mention this when booking.

Question 5

What time do charters depart?

Accepted Answer

AM charters depart at 6:00 AM and run for 6 hours. PM charters depart at 2:00 PM. Please arrive 15–20 minutes early to get set up.

How many people can come on a charter?

Our boat accommodates up to 6 anglers per trip. Private charters are available for groups of any size up to the maximum.

What if the weather is bad?

Safety is our top priority. If conditions are unsafe, Captain Craig will contact you to reschedule at no charge. We fish in light rain — it's often the best time!

Where do we launch from?

We run charters out of two locations: Fairport Harbor Marina and Walnut Creek. Your booking confirmation will include the exact meeting point and directions.

Do I need to bring my own fishing gear?

No — all rods, reels, tackle, and bait are provided. Just show up ready to fish.

Question 10

Do I need a fishing license?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All anglers 16 and older are required to have a valid Ohio fishing license. You can purchase one online at wildohio.gov before your trip.

Question 11

What should I bring on the boat?

Bring your fishing license, food and drinks, sunscreen, sunglasses, layers (it can be cool on the water even in summer), and a cooler for your catch.

Is fish cleaning available?
